OMPS-N21 L2 LP Water Vapor (H2O) Vertical Profile swath orbital 3slit V1 (OMPS_N21_LP_L2_H2O_DAILY) at GES DISC

The OMPS-N21 L2 LP Water Vapor (H2O) Vertical Profile swath orbital 3slit collection contains water vapor measured by the Ozone Mapping and Profiling Suite (OMPS) Limb-Profiler (LP) sensor on the NOAA-21 satellite. This OMPS LP H2O product measures stratospheric and upper tropospheric water vapor profiles via neural network models trained on co-located Aura Microwave Limb Sounder (MLS) water vapor profiles.

Each granule contains data from the daylit portion of a single orbit. Spatial coverage is global (-90 to 90 degrees latitude), and there are about 14.5 orbits per day. The profiles are retrieved from 11.5 to 40.5 km at 1 km intervals with a vertical resolution of approximately 1.8 km.

The data are written using the Hierarchical Data Format Version 5 or HDF5.
