This data set contains photometry of comet 9P/Tempel 1 as derived from reprocessed IRAS images from 1983, in support of the NASA Deep Impact Mission.

This product represents averaged radiometric diameters and geometric albedos derived from observations made by the Infrared Astronomical Satellite in 1983 for 1796 numbered asteroids and 88 unnumbered asteroids whose orbital elements were determined using astrometry from two or more apparitions.

This data set contains radiance and noise maps based on reprocessed IRAS images from 1983 of comet 9P/Tempel 1 in support of the NASA Deep Impact Mission.

Derived diameters and albedoes of asteroids, plus associated data on sighting and non-sightings, extracted from the IRAS archives.

Filter curves and detector parameters for the IRAS Focal Plane Array (FPA).

Spacecraft position vectors and individual scan parameters for the IRAS mission.

The IRAS Medium-Resolution (2 arcminute in-scan) Zodiacal Observational History File (ZOHF) consists of the time-ordered IRAS survey data averaged into 2' X 1/2 degree rectangular pixels along with pointing and timing information, covering the entire mission.

This data presented with this data set includes: (a) The IRAS Detector File which provides for each detector of the focal plane array its operational status, associated filter, location, dimension, sterradiance, and readout time offset; (b) The transmission and response values given in this table are to energy/wavelength and represent averages over all of the IRAS detectors of Band 1 (12 microns); (c) The transmission and response values given in this table are to energy/wavelength and represent averages over all of the IRAS detectors of Band 2 (25 microns); (d) The transmission and response values given in this table are to energy/wavelength and represent averages over all of the IRAS detectors of Band 3 (60 microns); (e) The transmission and response values given in this table are to energy/wavelength and represent averages over all of the IRAS detectors of Band 4 (100 microns).

The data presented with this data set include: (a) 8210 individual sightings associated with 2004 asteroids, (b) averaged radiometric diameters and geometric albedos derived from individual observations for 1796 numbered asteroids and 88 unnumbered asteroids (as of 1983) whose orbital elements were determined using astrometry from two or more apparitions; (c) an entry for each of 120 asteroids for which there is an accepted sighting; (d) entries for each of 4677 numbered asteroids and 2632 unnumbered asteroids (as of 1985) for which associations were sought in the IRAS data; (e) A summary of the number of times each asteroid was predicted to be scanned, and possible reasons for any failure to be detected.

The IRAS Low-Resolution (0.5 degree in-scan) Zodiacal Observational History File (ZOHF) consists of the time-ordered IRAS survey data averaged into 1/2 X 1/2 degree rectangular pixels along with pointing and timing information, covering the entire mission.
